Career

society

Bamogo's career began with Paris Saint-Germain . There he worked in the youth department of the capital city between 1993 and 1997. In the summer of 1997 he was without a club for one year. A year later, in July 1998, HSC Montpellier secured the services of the striker. Initially still with the juniors, later with the reserve team, he was able to prevail in the 2002/03 season and completed 33 games and scored four goals. In the following season he was able to draw attention to himself with 16 goals in 38 games and the top teams of Ligue 1 tried to get him. Olympique Marseille won the bid and Bamogo signed a contract with the southern French in the summer of 2004. After he was able to mark only 5 goals (30 games) in the first season, it was decided there to lend him to the new season. From July 30, 2005 he laced his shoes for FC Nantes for 12 months . But even there he only managed 4 goals in 31 games and disappointed. Back in Marseille, the club decided after the first half of the season (15 games, 3 goals) to loan Bamogo again. The new employer was the Spanish first division club Celta Vigo , where he ran 14 times by the end of the season and could only score one goal. For the 2007/08 season he returned to France and was loaned to the OGC Nice . A year later, in the summer of 2008, Bamogo finally changed clubs and signed with the French league rivals. There he was part of the permanent staff in his first year and completed 35 games for the Mediterranean French in his first season. In the following years he became the crowd favorite of the fans of OGC Nice. In 2009/10 Bamogo was often only a spectator at his team's games. His storm rivals such as Loïc Rémy , Mamadou Bagayoko Mickaël Poté and Éric Mouloungui partially displaced the attacker to forward position four and five. After Bamogo was only used irregularly under new coach Éric Roy for the new season , he decided to leave the club during the winter break and signed with the Turkish club Konyaspor . Since September 2011 he has been under contract with the Greek newly promoted Panetolikos Agrinio.

National team

Bamogo played competitive games for the French U-21 national team between 2002 and 2003 . According to the amendments to the FIFA statutes, which came into force on August 2, 2009, he was eligible to play for the Burkina Faso national team , as it was proven that Bamogo had not yet completed an appearance for the French senior team and the Tribunal de Grande Instance in Ouagadougou confirmed Bamogo's Burkinabe citizenship.

On October 11, Bamogo came in the World Cup qualifier against Guinea to his first international appearance and goal for Burkina Faso. Shortly thereafter, he was national coach Paulo Duarte for the African Cup of Nations 2010 in Angola nominated . There he was used in the two possible games of his team. The striker made his Africa Cup debut on January 11, 2010 against the Ivory Coast team when he came on for Narcisse Yaméogo on the 62nd minute .
