Habil Əliyev
Habil Mustafa oğlu Əliyev ( Habil Aliyev, Habil Aliev, Gabil Halijef ; born May 28, 1927 in Utschgovag , Ağdaş ; † September 8, 2015 in Baku ) was an Azerbaijani Kamantsche player.
Əliyev attended the Asaf Zeynalli music school and studied with the tar player Gurban Primov and the mugham singer Khan Schuschiniski . He became internationally known as a Kamantsche player and gave concerts in Iran, the Soviet Union, Turkey, Germany, Great Britain, Pakistan, India, Egypt, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Tunisia, Japan and Syria. Əliyev played the classical mugham repertoire in a particularly lyrical style. In 1987 he was awarded the title of People's Artist. He also received the Şöhrət Order and the İstiqlal Order .
