Baiersdorf (in the 19th century also Baierdorf ) is a village in the municipality of St. Veit an der Glan in the district of Sankt Veit an der Glan in Carinthia . The village has 28 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). It lies on the territory of the cadastral municipality of Sankt Donat .

The village is located in the south of the Sankt Veit an der Glan district, southeast of the district capital Sankt Veit an der Glan, on a hill northeast of St. Donat . It extends from Krappfeld Straße (Landesstraße L83) several hundred meters to the north.

history

Lying in the tax municipality of Sankt Donat, the place belonged to the tax district Osterwitz in the first half of the 19th century . When the local congregations were formed in the course of the reforms after the 1848/49 revolution, Baiersdorf came to the community of St. Georgen am Längsee , and in 1895 to the then newly founded community of St. Donat . In 1958 Baiersdorf came to the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan.
