Today, the part of the hamlet that was run as a locality of the former municipality of Hörzendorf and was now in the area of the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan has been abandoned; the rest of the village forms a village in the municipality of Maria Saal ( Klagenfurt-Land district ) with 0 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).
The name of the place is said to be derived from britva (Slovenian for razor). The place name was also spelled Witternitz , Writalic , Writalitz , Prikaliz , Prikelitz and Priekelitz earlier .
location
The place is located in Central Carinthia, in the Glantaler Bergland , on the southern slope of the Ulrichsberg , southwest of Pörtschach am Berg . A border runs across the clearing on which the village is located: the northeastern part of the clearing is in the area of the cadastral municipality of Galling and thus belongs to the political municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan in the Sankt Veit an der Glan district ; the south-western part of the clearing is in the area of the Karnburg cadastral community and belongs to the Maria Saal political community in the Klagenfurt-Land district .

history
Located in the tax municipality of Galling, the north-eastern part of the place belonged to the tax district of Karlsberg in the first half of the 19th century . When the local congregations were formed in the course of the reforms after the 1848/49 revolution, that part of the village came to the Hörzendorf community (which was initially known as the Karlsberg community ) and thus to the Sankt Veit an der Glan district. At that time the village belonged to the parish of Pörtschach am Berg, and mail was delivered from Maria Saal.
Since January 1, 1972, this area has belonged to the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan, but the houses in the village had already been abandoned and the village had been abandoned.

history
Located in the tax community of St. Peter am Karlsberg, the southwestern part of the town belonged to the tax district of Annabichl in the first half of the 19th century . When the local parishes were formed in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, this part of the place came to the parish of St. Peter am Bichl and thus to the Klagenfurt-Land district; the village belonged to the parish of Karnburg, the post was then delivered from Klagenfurt.
On January 1, 1973, the cadastral community of St. Peter am Karlsberg was reduced in size and the political community of St. Peter am Bichl was dissolved; Since then, Prikalitz has been part of the Karnburg cadastral community and is part of the Maria Saal market. The Koller inn, for which the place was previously known, has been abandoned.
