location

The cadastral municipality is located in the southwest of the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan, in the south of the Sankt Veit an der Glan district. It is located in the Glantaler Bergland southwest of the district capital and extends from the southern edge of the Glantalboden in the north to the northern slopes of the Ulrichsberg in the south and from Eberdorf in the west to the Hörzendorfer See and Draschelbach in the east. The cadastral community extends over an altitude of 475  m above sea level. A. on the southern edge of the Glantalboden on the northern border of the cadastral community up to 853  m above sea level. Localities

The localities Dellach , Draschelbach , Eberdorf , Karlsberg , Karnberg and Projern are entirely in the area of ​​the Projern cadastral community . There is also a building in the village of Hörzendorf ( Seestraße 28 ) within the cadastral community.

The cadastral municipality has belonged to the district of the Klagenfurt land surveying office since January 1st, 1998. Before that, she was part of the district of the St. Veit an der Glan land surveying office.

At the end of the 18th century, the Carinthian tax communities (later: cadastral communities) were formed and assigned to tax districts. The tax community of Projern became part of the tax district of Karlsberg .

In the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, the tax districts in Carinthia were dissolved and local communities were formed, each encompassing the area of ​​one or more tax communities. The tax and cadastral community of Projern became part of the Hörzendorf community , which was initially called the Karlsberg community . The size of the cadastral community was given in 1854 as 1,085 Austrian yokes and 317 fathoms (approx. 625 ha); At that time 185 people lived in the area of ​​the cadastral community. In 1972 the cadastral community of Projern became part of the community of Sankt Veit an der Glan. In 1973, a considerable part (around 40%) of the cadastral community of St. Peter am Karlsberg , which until then had belonged to the community of St. Peter am Bichl and thus to the district of Klagenfurt-Land , was connected to the cadastral community of Projern, which thereby encompassed the localities of Eberdorf and Karnberg was expanded.

The cadastral municipality of Projern belonged from 1850 to the political district of Sankt Veit an der Glan and to the judicial district of Sankt Veit an der Glan . From 1854 to 1868 it belonged to the mixed district of Sankt Veit an der Glan . Since the reform in 1868, it has again been part of the political district of Sankt Veit an der Glan and the judicial district of Sankt Veit an der Glan.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 46 building areas with 39,339 m² and 56 gardens on 214,781 m² in the cadastral community of Projern , in 1989/1990 there were 54 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 144 and in 2009/2010 there were 88 buildings on 158 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 337 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 240 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 446 hectares and 406 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 417 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 414 hectares. The average soil climate number of projectors is 43.3 (as of 2010).
