Pflugern is a village in the municipality of St. Veit an der Glan in the Sankt Veit an der Glan district in Carinthia . The village has 16 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). Today the village is entirely in the territory of the cadastral municipality of Sankt Donat . Until 1920 the place was separated by cadastral, municipality and district boundaries, for part of today's place the place name Stadlhof was used before that .

location

Stadlhof Palace

The village is located in the south of the Sankt Veit an der Glan district, southeast of the district capital Sankt Veit an der Glan and south of the town of St. Donat . It extends from Stadlhof Palace on Zollfeld Straße (Landesstraße L71) in the west, on the northeastern edge of Zollfeld , all the way up to the western slope of Magdalensberg ( Lentrattner House , Pflugern No. 8, 693  m above sea level ).

history

Stadlhof Palace was first mentioned in 1599 .

The border between the tax communities of Sankt Donat and the cadastral community of St. Michael am Zollfeld ran through the village . The houses in the tax community of St. Donat (most of today's town, including most of the outbuildings of Stadlhof Palace) belonged to the Osterwitz tax district in the first half of the 19th century . During the formation of the local congregations in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49 they came to the community of St. Georgen am Längsee and in 1895 to the then newly founded community of St. Donat and were thus part of the district of Sankt Veit an der Glan; Plowing was used throughout as the place name.

In contrast, the houses located in the tax community of St. Michael am Zollfeld at that time (such as today's house Pflugern No. 1 and the main building of Stadlhof Palace, today Pflugern No. 12) belonged to the tax district Maria Saal in the first half of the 19th century and came when the local congregations were formed in the middle of the 19th century, to the Maria Saal community and thus to the Klagenfurt-Land district . The name and classification of the localities in this area was not handled uniformly: sometimes these houses were listed as the village of Pflugern , sometimes as the village of Stadlhof , and at times they were divided into the localities of Pflugern and Stadlhof .

In 1920, the boundaries of the cadastral communities, political communities and districts were changed in the area: A small part of the cadastral community of St. Michael am Zollfeld was ceded to the cadastral community of St. Donat, so that the entire town of Pflugern has since been part of the cadastral community of St. Donat ( and thus at that time in the municipality of St. Donat) and in the district of St. Veit an der Glan. In 1958, the village of Pflugern and the entire community of St. Donat that existed up to that point came to the community of Sankt Veit an der Glan.
