Blintendorf (in the 19th century also Blindendorf ) is a place in the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan in the Sankt Veit an der Glan district in Carinthia . Today the place is identical to the village Blintendorf of the municipality Sankt Veit an der Glan, which lies in the cadastral municipality of Sankt Donat .

A building near this village, but in the area of the neighboring cadastral community of Niederdorf , is now counted as part of the village of Muraunberg . Until the second half of the 20th century, however, this building was regarded as part of the town of Blintendorf and therefore formed a separate town of Blintendorf in the then municipality of Hörzendorf .

Blintendorf village in the cadastral municipality of Sankt Donat

The town of Sankt Veit an der Glan has 13 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). It is located in the cadastral municipality of Sankt Donat and used to belong to the municipality of Sankt Donat .

location

Blintendorf industrial area.

The village is located in the south of the district of Sankt Veit an der Glan, south of the district capital Sankt Veit an der Glan, on the northwestern edge of the Zollfeld . To the west of the small hamlet, an industrial area of about 1 by ½ kilometer, which belongs to the village and extends to the Glan , has emerged in the last few decades . The rest area on the Klagenfurt expressway to the east of the Glan also belongs to the village of Blintendorf .

history

Located in the tax community of Sankt Donat, the houses in the area of what is now the town belonged to the tax district of Osterwitz in the first half of the 19th century . When the local congregations were formed in the course of the reforms after the 1848/49 revolution, these houses came to the community of St. Georgen am Längsee , and in 1895 to the then newly founded community of St. Donat. In 1958 Blintendorf came to the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan.

Former town of Blintendorf in the Niederdorf cadastral community

location

The little house on the right edge of the picture in the background, today Muraunberg No. 2 , is in the Niederdorf KG and used to be a separate village.

The house is located on the eastern edge of the Niederdorf cadastral community, at the transition from Zollfeld to the Glantaler Bergland , about 100 meters west of the hamlet that forms the core of what is now Blintendorf and is already part of the Sankt Donat cadastral community.

history

Located in the Niederdorf tax community, the house belonged to the Karlsberg tax district in the first half of the 19th century . When the local congregations were formed in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, this house came to the Hörzendorf community (which was initially run under the name of Karlsberg community ). In 1972 it was attached to the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan. Since then, the house is no longer run as a Blintendorf , but now forms part of the village of Muraunberg (Muraunberg House No. 2), although it is at least half a kilometer as the crow flies or 3½ kilometers by road from the other houses in the village of Muraunberg.
