The village is located in the Glantaler Bergland in the south of the Sankt Veit district, between the Muraunberg and the Tanzenberg, south-southeast of Hörzendorf .

history

The place was in 1087 as Streshowi and 1167 as Streuberg called. The chapel is mentioned as early as 1266.

Located in the Niederdorf tax municipality, the place belonged to the Karlsberg tax district in the first half of the 19th century . When the local congregations were formed in the course of the reforms after the 1848/49 revolution, Streimberg came to the Hörzendorf community (which was initially known as the Karlsberg community ), and in 1972 to the Sankt Veit an der Glan community.
