Baardorf (in the 19th century also Bayerdorf , Bayrdorf , Baierdorf , Bardorf ) is a village in the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan in the district of Sankt Veit an der Glan in Carinthia . The village has 4 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). It lies on the territory of the Niederdorf cadastral community .

location

The village is located in the Glantaler Bergland in the south of the Sankt Veit district, southwest of the Muraunberg and northeast of the village of Hörzendorf . It includes the Neubauer farms (house no. 1) and Veidl (houses no. 2 and 3).

history

In 1494 a Bayrdorff tower is mentioned; but this former defense structure is lost.

Located in the Niederdorf tax municipality, the place belonged to the Karlsberg tax district in the first half of the 19th century . When the local congregations were formed in the course of the reforms after the 1848/49 revolution, Baardorf came to the Hörzendorf community (which was initially run under the name of Karlsberg community ), and in 1972 to the Sankt Veit an der Glan community.
