Hadmar (also Hademar) von Sonnberg is the name of several family members from the Austrian ministerial family of the Sonnbergs .

Historical background

The first names Liutwin and Hadmar are found several times in the genealogy of the von Sonnbergs . This is probably due to the close relationship between the Sonnbergers and the Kuenringers . Both noble families suffered from the devastation in the north of the Wein- and Waldviertel around 1176 during the armed conflict between Friedrich and Soběslav II of Bohemia and Liutwin von Sonnberg was married to Gisela von Kuenring, the sister of Hadmar II von Kuenring .
