Haftamnesh Tesfaye (born April 28, 1994 ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner .

Athletic career

Haftamnesh Tesfaye gained her first international experience at the Junior World Championships 2012 in Barcelona , where she finished fourth in the 3000 meter run in 9: 10.02 minutes . The following year she won the Junior African Championships in Bambous in 9: 32.3 min. In 2015 she took part in the 5000 meter run at the Africa Games in Brazzaville , where she finished sixth in 15: 52.10 minutes. At the African Championships in Asaba in 2018 , she finished seventh in the 10,000 meter run in 33: 44.92 minutes .

In 2018, Tesfaye became the Ethiopian champion in the 10,000 meter run.
