The Hahilinga (also known as Hahiligga ) were one of the Bavarian nobility and nobility.

They are expressly mentioned in the Lex Baiuvariorum , in which the old popular law of the Baier tribal duchy from 635 onwards, alongside the Huosi , Trozza , Fagana , Anniona and the ducal family of the Agilolfingers . In the documents that became common in Bavaria from the 8th century onwards, they are not mentioned in contrast to other of these families, so that it can be assumed that they were no longer of extraordinary importance for the duchy at that time. However, there are still certain indications of an area of influence east of Regensburg up to the 9th century.

In connection with the name of the gender, an origin and / or an area of dominion around the Hachinger Bach south-east of Munich and the local communities of Oberhaching and Unterhaching is sometimes assumed. Another theory suggests the origin of the Hahilinga at Hailing , a district of the Leiblfing community . Another locus Hachilinga is being considered as Hechlingen am See in the Swabian-Franconian border area. Count Helmuni , who is counted among the Halilinga, or the Helmuni clan possessions here.

The name is regarded as a patronymic formation to the personal name of descendants of Hahilo ; this is the first time that the personal ancestor principle becomes effective, while the other noble families gave their names to characteristics.
