The Hainig is 417 m above sea level. NN high mountain in the Vogelsberg southeast of Lauterbach (Hesse) . Eisenbach Castle is in the southwest , Rudlos in the south and Angersbach in the east . Star-shaped hiking trails of the Vogelsberger Höhen-Club lead from all the places mentioned up to the Hainig. The Hainigturm , an observation tower that offers a comprehensive panorama, stands on the wooded mountain .
