Halfbrick Studios is an Australian development studio specializing in the development of mobile games and video games . The company's headquarters are in Brisbane .
history
The company was founded in 2001. Until 2008 it mainly worked on licensed games, e.g. B. Handheld and game consoles - filing of movies or TV series. In the mobile market, it became particularly popular for the games Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride .
Before the studio opened its headquarters in Brisbane, Halfbrick had five offices in Sydney , Adelaide , Spain , Bulgaria and Los Angeles . In March 2012 Halfbrick Studios bought Onan Games for an undisclosed price in order to use their software Mandreel, which enables games to be developed for iOS , Android , Adobe Flash and HTML5 .
By 2015, Fruit Ninja had been downloaded over 1 billion times.
