The Halil River ( Persian هلیل رود Halil-Rud ) is a river in the Jiroft and Kahnuj districts of the Kerman Province in Iran .
The river has its source in the Hazar Mountains at an altitude of 3,300 m approximately 96 km northwest of Jiroft and has a length of 390 km. Seasonally it flows into Lake Hamun . The site of the Bronze Age Jiroft culture , which dates back to 1000 BC, is located in the Halil river plain . Was destroyed by a historical flood .
