Geoffrey Edwards (born October 31, 1959 in Westfield , New Jersey ) is an American actor , director and screenwriter .

Life

family

Geoffrey Edwards is the son of director Blake Edwards and his first wife, actress Patricia Walker . Geoffrey and his sister Jennifer grew up with their father and his second wife, Julie Andrews , after their parents' divorce .

Edwards was married to actress Denise Crosby , a granddaughter of the legendary Bing Crosby , from 1983 to 1990 . They met while filming one of the Pink Panther films .

Career

Like his birth sister and step-sibling, Geoffrey came into contact with the film industry through his parents' work. However, he had his first appearance in a movie alongside Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward in WUSA , directed by Stuart Rosenberg .

Working on the Pink Panther series and other films by his father such as Victor / Victoria and SOB , he gained experience as a screenwriter, actor and film editor . Since the 1990s, however, he has mainly worked as a director.
