Hamb is a district of the municipality of Sonsbeck on the Lower Rhine in the northwest of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In the course of the municipal reorganization, the independence of the (formerly independent) municipality of Hamb ended on June 30, 1969 and Hamb became a district of the municipality of Sonsbeck. Hamb has about 1000 inhabitants.

Hamb is located in the west of the Wesel district on the border with the Kleve district . The Dutch border is approx. 20 km away.

Hamb is located on the Autobahn 57 ( E31 ), 20 km from Niederrhein Airport and around 55 km from Düsseldorf Airport.

history

On July 1, 1969, the previously independent municipality of Hamb was incorporated together with Labbeck into the municipality of Sonsbeck.
