The Hamburg Citizens' List (short name: HHBL ) was a voter association in Hamburg. It was founded by Mareile Kirsch and members of the “G9-Jetzt-HH” popular initiative in November 2014 and ran for the 2015 Hamburg state election . The chairman was Mareile Kirsch, who was already the chairwoman of the Civic Center voters' association that took part in the 2011 general election .

history

In October 2014, almost 45,000 Hamburg citizens signed the G9 referendum for the reintroduction of 13-year schooling at grammar schools within three weeks . However, 63,000 signatures would have been required to carry out the referendum . Motivated by these signatures, the representatives of the G9 people's initiative, Mareile Kirsch, Eva Terhalle-Aries and Ulf Ohms, together with fellow campaigners, founded the “Hamburg Citizens List” in November 2014 in order to take part in the 2015 election for the Hamburg citizenship . On December 5, the state electoral committee, once the formal requirements had been met, and on December 19, finally approved the electoral association for citizenship elections and established the state list.

In the general election, the HHBL received 7,349 votes (0.2%), the lowest number of votes of all the state lists. After the election, the electoral association no longer appeared.

Program

The main concern of the electorate is better school policy, with freedom of choice between different offers that take into account the different abilities of the students. It demands the best possible quality of education and the best possible support for everyone at all types of schools. Their goal is the freedom to choose between G9 and G8 at high schools, between full- and half-day school and between conveyor and regular schools .
