Hammersbach (Grainau)

Hammersbach ( 758  m above sea level ) is part of the Grainau community . The church village at the foot of the Wetterstein Mountains , at the southwest end of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen market . Hammersbach is an important starting point for tours for mountaineers and hikers.

Hiking trails

  • Eibsee circular route: From Hammersbach via the Höhenweg to the Eibseehotel, then around the Eibsee and back (approx. 15 km / 500 meters in altitude)
  • At the Hammersbach ascending to the Höllental entrance hut ( 1045  m ), through the Höllentalklamm to the Höllentalangerhütte .
  • From the Höllentalangerhütte ( 1387  m ) to the Höllentor ( 2050  m ), on to the Osterfelderkopf cable car station.
  • From the Höllentalangerhütte via Hupfleitenjoch ( 1754  m ) to the Kreuzeckhaus cable car station ( 1650  m )
  • From Hammersbach via Waldeck ( 1238  m ) to Kreuzjoch ( 1719  m )
