Handball coach of the year (Germany)
Up until 2013, the outstanding handball coach of a season was honored as coach of the year in Germany . He was chosen by the readers of the trade magazine handball-magazin . The candidates were trainers in Germany and German trainers abroad. The award has been given since 1984; there was no election in 1994 and 1995.
Since 2002, the handball Bundesliga (HBL) has also chosen the coach of the season .
