Hanna Achenbach

Hanna Achenbach , née Maria Johanna Junemann (born December 2, 1892 in Dortmund , † November 1, 1982 in Siegen ) was a German painter .

Life

Hanna Achenbach was the daughter of the civil engineer and factory director Johann Konrad Junemann and his wife Maria Junemann. From 1914 to 1919 she studied at the Düsseldorf School of Applied Arts . After graduating, she went to Siegen with Hans Achenbach . On November 25, 1920, she married in Düsseldorf - Eller the artist, with whom she had two daughters.

Her work included oil paintings, watercolors and linocuts, which she showed in several solo and group exhibitions. Her motifs were mainly children, women, flowers, Madonnas, landscapes , genre painting and still lifes . She was a member of the Siegerland Artists Working Group (ASK).
