Hannah Afriyie

Hannah Afriyie (born December 21, 1951 ) is a former Ghanaian sprinter .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, she reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and 200 m .

In 1974 she won bronze in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch . Over 100 m she was eliminated in the semi-finals and over 200 m in the preliminary run.

In 1978 she managed a double victory over 100 m and 200 m at the Africa Games in Algiers . At the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton , she was fourth over 100 m and fifth in the Ghanaian 4-by-100-meter relay; over 200 m she did not start in the semifinals.

The following year, she won gold over 200 m and silver over 100 m at the African Athletics Championships in Dakar in 1979 . At the Athletics World Cup in Montreal , she was sixth over 200 m and seventh in the African 4-by-100-meter relay.

At the Athletics World Cup in Rome in 1981 she was eighth in the 200 m and seventh in the African 4 x 100 meter relay.
