Hannelore Faulstich-Wieland

Hannelore Faulstich-Wieland (born December 10, 1948 in Hann. Münden ) is a German educationalist and professor emeritus at the University of Hamburg .

Life

Faulstich-Wieland studied psychology at the TU Berlin from 1967 to 1972 . She received her doctorate in 1975 from the University of Bremen as Dr. phil. in social sciences on the subject of "Political Socialization in Vocational Schools" and habilitated in educational sciences at the Technical University of Berlin in 1980 with the thesis "Career-orienting advice for girls".

From 1984 to 1992 she was professor for social work at the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt am Main , and from 1992 to 1996 professor for “Women's Studies in Cultural Studies” in Münster. From 1988 to 1996 she was a specialist reviewer for the German Research Foundation (DFG) . In 1997 she was appointed to the chair for educational science with a focus on school education at the University of Hamburg. She has been retired since 2014 and continues to do research.

She was married to Peter Faulstich (died 2016) and has two children.
