Hannelore Monegel

Hannelore Monegel (born March 11, 1949 in Teterow ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

After she graduated from the EOS in Teterow in 1967 , Monegel then studied at the University of Rostock until 1971 . From 1971 to 1988 she was a qualified subject teacher for biology and chemistry at the POS Teterow. From 1990 to 1994 she was employed in the youth welfare office of the Teterow district and then from 1994 to 1998 the equal opportunities officer of the Güstrow district .

Monegel is a member of the district board of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt Güstrow, as well as chairwoman of the Landscape Management Association Krakow am See - Mecklenburgische Schweiz e. V. and member of various associations.

Monegel was non-party until 1989, and has been a member of the SPD since 1990. In the same year she became a member of the Teterow city council. From 1994 to 1999 she was mayor there. From 1998 to 2006 she was a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament . She represented at that time the state election district Güstrow I . Since December 15, 2010 she was again a member of the state parliament after Reinhard Dankert resigned from his mandate as the new data protection officer for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In the state parliament she was spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group for fisheries, animal welfare and consumer policy. She did not run for the 2011 state election.
