Life

Hannes Duscher visited the Stiftsgymnasium in Kremsmünster, Upper Austria , where he together with the cartoonists 1984 Michael Pammesberger his Matura made. This is followed by stays abroad as a musician with odd jobs in Berlin, London and Los Angeles.

From the mid-1990s Duscher worked as a singer, guitarist and songwriter for the Viennese electro-pop pioneers "Planet E". The band's CDs were initially released on Werner Geier's label "Uptight Records", and later on Universal Music Germany. This was followed by top 10 placements in the German club charts and concerts in the Vienna clubs Flex and WUK, as well as appearances at the Holzstock Festival in Ebensee and in the Vienna City Hall. Hannes Duscher also played with the cover band "The Wandering Stars".

In addition to his musical career, he began to study journalism and communication studies at the University of Vienna in 1992 . In 1998 he wrote his diploma thesis entitled "The 'classic' youth magazine on television as a youth music broadcast for 'everyone' seems out of date: showing a development using the public broadcaster ORF".

This work was well received by the ORF. Duscher started as an editor in the programming of the ORF radio station FM4 . At the same time he was lecturer for music history in the field of multimedia art at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences from 1999 to 2001.

The band played several concerts at home and abroad. In 2009 the second album "When The Music's Over" was released. After the release, Hannes Duscher left the band.

He concentrated again on his work at FM4 and began working there with Roland Gratzer . One of their first joint projects is the "Kleine Gitarrenkunde". Under the name " Duscher & Gratzer " they realize a wide variety of artistic projects and radio broadcasts on FM4; Top FM4, Under Palms, Under Catkins and Under Firs. They also act together in films and plays. Also under the name "Duscher und Gratzer" they released their first album Es ist aus on December 7th, 2018 on Sissi-Records.

On November 20 and 27, 2018, Duscher gave its television premiere together with Gratzer. The 30-minute late-night comedy show "Top 1" will be broadcast Tuesday night on ORF 1 and broadcast from the Viennese café U1.
