Hannes Zacher

Hannes Zacher (* 1979 in Göttingen ) is a German psychologist and has been a professor for work and organizational psychology at the Institute for Psychology at the University of Leipzig , Faculty of Life Sciences, since 2016 .

Career

Hannes Zacher studied psychology at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the University of Minnesota between 2000 and 2006 . From 2006 to 2009 he did his doctorate in the field of work and organizational psychology at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . After a postdoctoral stay at Jacobs University Bremen, he researched and taught as a lecturer / assistant professor at the University of Queensland in Australia (2010–2013), as an associate professor at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands (2014–2015) and as a full professor Professor at the Queensland University of Technology in Australia (2016). The Australian Research Council awarded him a Discovery Early Career Researcher Award in 2011 . In 2016 he was a Fellow of the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Science (NIAS), an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). Hannes Zacher has been Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Queensland in Australia since 2014.

Research priorities

In his research program, Zacher deals with the issues of aging in the work context and professional development; Stress , health and wellbeing in the workplace ; Initiative , innovation , leadership and entrepreneurship; and environmentally friendly work behavior. He has published a book on patient safety and around 120 articles in specialist books and peer-reviewed journals, including the Academy of Management Review , Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior , Journal of Vocational Behavior , Journal of Occupational Health Psychology and Psychology and Aging .
