The Hanoverian Advertisements , also Hanoverian Advertisements , was a newspaper in Hanover that appeared twice a week from 1750 with "Our most gracious King and Lord ( George II of Great Britain and his successors) with the highest approval" until 1859. From 1763–1850 it contained the Hannoversche Magazin as a supplement, the most widely read magazine in Hanover.

content

The Hanover (i) advertisements did not correspond to a newspaper in the strict sense of the word , since they “ deal with all kinds of things that are necessary for the public to be known, etc. useful ”, reported, but occasionally briefly also on local events. The newspaper published official notices, court orders, death notices and lost property. In particular, it contained advertisements relating to buying and selling as well as renting and leasing.

history

The predecessor of the Hanoverian advertisements was the weekly Hanoverian Intelligence Zettul and advert from 1732 to 1735.

The first edition of the Hanoverian advertisements appeared on June 29, 1750. The sheet was printed by the Landschaftliche Buchdruckerey . The publisher was Heinrich Ernst Christoph Schlueter in the Intelligence Comptoir, which was also founded in 1750 by the Land Syndic Albrecht Christoph von Wüllen .

In 1857 Friedrich Culemann bought the Hanoverian advertisements and combined them with the Hannoversche Zeitung to form the Neue Hannoversche Zeitung .
