from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hannoversche Zeitung was a government-initiated newspaper that appeared for the first time on January 1, 1832 , and initially only depended on the political convictions of the main editor and publisher, Georg Heinrich Pertz . The daily (except Sundays) newspaper was published by the Hahnschen bookstore and printed in the “ Culemann'sche Druckerei und Verlagsanstalt ”. It was allowed to be the first Hanoverian daily newspaper and consisted of the three parts official part , political-literary part (the actual newspaper) and general gazette .

Editors of the newspaper , which was reproduced in the Culemann'schen Druckerei, were a “Dr. Ler ”as well as the Oberpostinspektor Friesland . Numerous correspondents worked in various locations for the Hannoversche Zeitung.

history

precursor

The Hannoversche Zeitung was the successor to the Hannoversche Nachrichten newspaper , which appeared twice a week in Hanover from 1828 onwards .

According to Dieter Brosius , Hanover did not have its own newspaper until the Hannoversche Zeitung was published in 1832; "One read Frankfurter or Hamburger sheets". As governmental organs, the forerunners of the Hannoversche Zeitung were the

  • Hanoverian political news (1793–1801) and the
  • Hannöverische Nachrichten (1815–31), according to Dieter Brosius, “a pure advertising paper” that appeared twice a week.

The Hannoversche Zeitung appeared for the first time on January 1, 1832 , following an announcement by Georg Heinrich Pertz in December 1831.

From 1832 the newspaper was first printed by Friedrich Bernhard Culemann , and from 1834 it was also published. The editor was Georg Heinrich Pertz.

When King Ernst August von Hanover took office in 1837 and Pertz resigned, the newspaper became an official government organ that relied on the government-dependent mandatory customers.

New Hannoversche Zeitung

After Friedrich Culemann bought the Hanoverian advertisements in 1857 , he combined them with the Hannoversche Zeitung to form the Neue Hannoversche Zeitung, which appeared from 1858 to 1883 and was also part of the government.
