Hanns Krause

Hanns Krause (born December 17, 1916 in Berlin ; † April 9, 1994 in Neuglobsow ) was a German writer .

Life

Hanns Krause was the son of a doctor. After school he was drafted into the labor service and then into the armed forces. He took part in World War II as a soldier . After the end of the war he stayed in Upper Bavaria , where he carried out various auxiliary activities, including a. as a miller's assistant , carpenter and wood turner . In 1953 he married the farmer and writer Lori Ludwig and settled with her in Neuglobsow / Gransee district. Together with her he led several “ circles of writing workers ” in the region until Lori Ludwig's death in 1986 .

Hanns Krause's literary work consists mainly of books for children and young people , but he also wrote radio plays for children.

Hanns Krause had been a member of the GDR Writers' Association since 1954 and received a. a. In 1965 a children's and youth book prize from the GDR Ministry of Culture .
