Hans-Christoph Wagner (born April 14, 1963 in Hamburg ) is a Dutch politician . As a member of the PvdA , he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament from May 31, 2006 to November 29, 2006 . From June 17, 2013 to June 17, 2019 he was mayor of Albrandswaard , a municipality in the province of Zuid-Holland .

Wagner was born in Germany, but grew up in Nijmegen . After completing his studies, he moved to Berlin at the end of the 1980s , where he worked as a software and communications consultant for various companies until 1997, including Deutsche Lufthansa . In the mid-1990s he was district chairman of the SPD in Berlin's Kreuzberg district .

After returning to the Netherlands, he joined the PvdA and was active in their local association in Voorburg (later Leidschendam-Voorburg ). In the local elections in 2006 he was elected to the council of the South Holland municipality. Shortly thereafter, Wagner was named as the successor to Adri Duivesteijn as a member of the Chamber.
