Albrandswaard ( listen ? / I ) is a municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland , which is named after a polder . It was created in 1985 by merging the Rhoon and Poortugaal and is located about 15 kilometers south of Rotterdam . A Heerlijkheid called Albrandswaard had existed here as early as 1246, but their rule resided in Breda or The Hague . It was incorporated into Poortugaal in 1841 after the electoral rights were abolished. The town hall of today's municipality is in Poortugaal. Audio file / audio sample

His colleagues include the alderman Marco Goedknegt ( VVD ), Jacqueline de Leeuwe ( Nieuwe Albrandswaardse Partij ), Hans van der Graaff (PvdA), Maret Rombout ( Echt voor Albrandswaard ) and the municipal secretary Hans Cats .
