Career
Wacker played in the youth of SKV Büttelborn and Eintracht Frankfurt . In the 2-0 win against the Netherlands in Marburg, he formed the German midfield together with Martin Haskamp and Klaus Santanius . In May and June of this year, there were three more DFB appearances against France (2-0), England (0-4) and Wales (2-2). His international appointments continued seamlessly. He played the first game of the newly introduced U-16 team on July 30, 1975 against Norway. In a 5-1 win at a tournament in Finland and against other competitors from Denmark (2-4) and Iceland (2-1), Wacker played in all three games in 1975. In 1976 he played in the German national youth team . He took part in the UEFA youth tournament in Hungary and played in midfield against Finland (2-1) and Czechoslovakia (3-2) alongside Klaus Augenthaler and Ulrich Bittcher . From 1977 Wacker was in the professional squad of Eintracht and was used in the Bundesliga . In the Bundesliga season 1978/79 he was substituted on the 30th matchday in the 0-0 against 1. FC Nürnberg in the 85th minute of the game. Serious injuries to the knee (meniscus and ligaments) as well as dramatic illnesses prevented the breakthrough in the professional field. After the season he left Eintracht and played for SKV Büttelborn for the next nine years.
