Hans-Georg Kamann (born May 4, 1968 in Erwitte ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

After graduating from high school in June 1987 at the Erwitte municipal high school, he studied law in Passau and Bonn and economics in Passau from October 1988 to January 1994 ( pre-diploma ). He was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation . In January 1994 he passed the first state examination in law in Passau. After completing his legal clerkship (April 1996 - November 1997 / April - September 1995) at the Passau Regional Court , he passed the second state examination in November 1997. From May 1994 to March 1997 he was a research assistant at the chair for constitutional and administrative law, international and European law at the University of Passau , Michael Schweitzer . He did his doctorate in Passau with a dissertation on "The participation of the parliaments of the member states in European legislation". From August to September 1995 he was seconded to the Federal Ministry of Economics, European Department (preparation of the Intergovernmental Conference on the Amsterdam Treaty). Since January 2001 he has been director of the Center for European Law, Passau. Since November 2008 he has been a lawyer and partner at WilmerHale, Frankfurt. Since November 2010 he has been an honorary professor for international business law at the University of Passau.

Since 1988 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Oeno-Danubia Passau and later also the KDStV Novesia Bonn , both in the CV .
