The Catholic German Student Union Novesia Bonn im CV (KDStV Novesia Bonn im CV) is a non-critical, Catholic student union founded at the University of Bonn in 1863 , which has belonged to the Cartell Association (CV) since 1911.
history
Before 1911, membership in the Cartell Association was out of the question because, according to the principle of singularity, the Cartell Association was only allowed one corporation at one university location in the association until 1899 . That is why in the winter semester of 1890/91 the KDStV Sauerlandia Münster made contact with the Novesia, which was founded as a theological association. With this, on April 7, 1891, the Cartel Association of Catholic German Student Corporations was founded in Mönchengladbach , which since 1905 has been called the Catholic German Association of Colored Student Corporations (KDV). In 1911, after the singularity principle was abolished, it was decided to join the Cartell Association of German Catholic Student Associations (CV).
Although the KDStV Novesia was forced to officially dissolve after the Himmler decree of June 20, 1938 , it continued the relationship life together with the student association KDStV Alania Bonn under the name Conrübia / Coronia until the summer semester 1944. In 1946 it was re-approved by the Western Allies.
Novesia Bonn is number 55 in the order of the Cartell connections. The official abbreviation is Nv .
