Johann Pütz

Johann Aegid Pütz (born June 4, 1851 in Aachen , † April 9, 1945 in Wemding ) was a Catholic clergyman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Pütz attended the cathedral school and the Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium in Aachen, the University of Bonn and the seminary in Cologne . During his studies he became a member of the KDStV Novesia Bonn on October 26, 1870 in the CV . From 1874 to 1877 he was a private tutor in Freiburg im Breisgau with the Herder family and then moved to Franconia in the diocese of Eichstätt . There he was chaplain in Velburg from 1877 and in Beilngries from 1880 , from 1884 to 1892 parish priest of St. Sebald in Schwabach and then until his death in 1945 parish priest and dean in Wemding. He was also the correspondent for the preservation of monuments in Bavaria for the Royal Conservatory of Art and Antiquities of Bavaria.

From 1905 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Schwaben 2 constituency ( Donauwörth , Nördlingen , Neuburg ) and the German Center Party .
