Hans-Heinrich Jordan

Hans-Heinrich Jordan (born September 26, 1948 in Jübar ; † June 18, 2019 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After completing his vocational training with a high school diploma , Jordan began studying agriculture in 1968 , which he completed in 1972 as a certified agricultural engineer. In 1977 he received his doctorate (dissertation A) at the Humboldt University in Berlin with the thesis "Comparative studies on milk yield, milkability, fattening performance and slaughter value of dairy cattle crossbreeds" . Jordan then worked in the administration of the district of Klötze and then from 1990 to 1994 as chief district administration director in the district of Salzwedel .

Hans-Heinrich Jordan was married and had two children.

Political party

Jordan joined the CDU in 1993, has been chairman and later honorary chairman of the CDU district association Altmarkkreis Salzwedel since 1997 .

MP

From 2005 to 2009 Hans-Heinrich Jordan was a member of the German Bundestag . He was a member of the standing committee of the Federal Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection .

He entered the Bundestag via the Saxony-Anhalt state list . His home constituency was the constituency 67 Altmark .

Hans-Heinrich Jordan failed in the Bundestag election 2009 on September 27, 2009 in the Bundestag constituency Altmark (constituency 67) in the fight for the direct mandate with 31.2% of the first votes. Since he was only secured with 5th place on the CDU state list, he left the Bundestag.

Jordan was 1994-2005 Social alderman from 2001 to 2005, First Assistant Secretary in Altmarkkreis Salzwedel .
