Hans-Henning Becker-Birck

Hans-Henning Becker-Birck (born September 26, 1937 in Hohenstein , East Prussia , † January 31, 2013 in Bonn ) was a German administrative lawyer and municipal official.

Life

Becker-Birck began to study law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . In 1958 he became active in the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . There, in 1959, he also fought a measure in the colors of the Corps Pomerania Greifswald . When he was inactive , he moved to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . In 1966 he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . He joined the administrative service of the state of Schleswig-Holstein and was personal assistant to the interior minister Hartwig Schlegelberger . From 1975 to 1989 he was district administrator in the Stormarn district . From 1990 to 2001 he was a managing presidential member of the German District Assembly in Bonn and Berlin . He sat on the board of directors of Norddeutscher Rundfunk , the ZDF television council (1996–2012) and the ZDF board of directors (2002–2012). Becker-Birck was a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany .
