Hans-Jörg Frey

Hans-Jörg Frey (* 1952 in Baden ) is a Swiss actor .

Career

Frey completed teacher training at the Wettingen seminar and then worked briefly as a teacher in Birrhard . He learned the art of acting from Ellen Widmann in Zurich . There he took lessons in singing , tap dancing , pantomime , jazz dance, fencing, etc. He initially worked at various theaters in Wiesbaden, Essen and Cologne. In 1984 he was appointed to the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg .

In 1993 Frey moved to Switzerland for two years and played at the Basel Theater . In 1996 he moved back to Hamburg and worked there at the Thalia Theater . From 2000 he worked as a freelance actor at several theaters in Hamburg. His freelance work also led him to a. to Berlin, Freiburg, Graz, Luxemburg, Weimar and Zagreb. Hans-Jörg Frey has worked with directors such as Zadek, Bondy, Flimm, Bogdanov, Wilson, Karge, Gosch, Kresnik and Moscow. He was also seen in various television works in Germany and Switzerland and has also made his own productions, including a. "The Fever" by Wallace Shawn . Most recently (2010) he was seen at the Altona Theater in Ulrike Grote's production “Only horses are given the coup de grace” . Michael Bogdanov's production “Elling” , performed at the Hamburger Kammerspiele, and Christian Nickel's production “Zeit der Zärtlichkeit” were recent engagements.
