Hans-Jürgen Niehaus

Hans-Jürgen Niehaus (born December 29, 1957 in Melle ) is a German business economist and manager. Until April 30, 2011, he was a member of the Board of Management of WestLB .

After training for industrial clerk and studies of business administration at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster changed Niehaus in the credit risk department of Bayerische Vereinsbank in Munich.

He was promoted to Dr. rer. pole. doctorate, then switched to HypoVereinsbank and was finally appointed to the WestLB Management Board in November 2004 .

In 2007, like other board members, Niehaus was criticized in connection with WestLB's unsuccessful speculation with Volkswagen AG shares.
