Hans-Jürgen Wolter

Hans-Jürgen Wolter (born February 26, 1941 in Lübeck ; † February 25, 2019 there ) was a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending secondary school in 1957, Wolter began training as a paint laboratory technician . In 1958 he joined the SPD. From 1959 he completed training in local government and worked, among other things, as a city inspector .

From 1965 to 1967 he studied at the Hamburg University of Economics and Politics and graduated with a degree in economics. In addition, from 1965 he was a freelance journalist for Lübecker Morgen and Nordwoche , and from 1970/1971 editor of Nordwoche in Lübeck.

In 1968 he was admitted to university without a school leaving certificate and studied law at the University of Hamburg until 1973 . In April 1970 he was elected to the Lübeck citizenship , to which he belonged until May 1975. Wolter passed his first state examination in 1973 and the second in 1976 and from then on worked as a lawyer in Lübeck.

In 1975 Wolter was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament in the Lübeck-Ost state electoral district. In 1979 he won the direct mandate again and was a member of the state parliament until 1983. He was a member of the state planning committee and the interior committee, as well as of three committees of inquiry , including the clinical pharmacy investigative committee and the constitutional protection investigative committee . From 1975 to 1981 he was a member of the judges' selection committee . After a raid on the Lübeck walls and a conviction for violating Section 175 , he resigned from his mandate.

From 1982 Wolter was a specialist lawyer for labor law and a specialist lawyer for social law .

Since 1978 he was chairman of the legal welfare association Lübeck - Resohilfe , a subsidiary of the society for the promotion of charitable activities ; he was also a member of the editorial committee of the Lübeckische Blätter . He was a board member of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund in Lübeck as well as a founding member and board member of LSVD Schleswig-Holstein . For over 40 years he was an auditor at the Society of Friends and Patrons of the Department of Social Economics (formerly HWP) eV in Hamburg.

Wolter died in February 2019 one day before his 78th birthday.
