plant
As a sculptor in the fields of wood, stone (especially marble and travertine ), bronze and iron, Hans-J. Müller developed an unmistakable signature that combines geometry and figure. The setting of inclines between the block and the figure marks a transition between the two areas, but the figure always remains the basic form and vice versa. Müller's figures start in the block. Or: His blocks culminate in the figure. That is probably a question of the content perspective. The human figure is always on top with Müller, but these figures are never the crowning glory, but part of a sculptural program that he adheres to with great consistency. Hans-J. Müller's plastic language reveals the artist's origins from the Bremen sculpture school.
