Hans-Joachim Schröter

Hans-Joachim Schröter (* 1934 ) is a German engineer-economist and social and economic historian who works in close cooperation with today's Technical University in particular for the Karl-Marx-Stadt district , the Saxon Ore Mountains and the city of Karl-Marx-Stadt Chemnitz and the city archive between 1969 and 1989 presented numerous publications, especially on the regional industrial history of the 20th century.

Life

After completing school education and engineering studies, Hans-Joachim Schröter successfully submitted his dissertation to the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Technical University of Karl-Marx-Stadt in 1979 on the subject of the development of mechanical engineering in the European Comecon countries and their economic cooperation in this branch of industry in the fifties and became a Dr. phil. PhD. Hans-Joachim Schröter worked as a senior academic assistant at the Marxism-Leninism section of the Karl-Marx-Stadt Technical University. In addition to a few monographs, he presented numerous publications on the social and economic history of the GDR and in particular the district of Karl-Marx-Stadt and the city of Chemnitz in various yearbooks and regional publication series, which were among other things through the evaluation of archival material of the city ​​archive and the archive of the Karl-Marx-Stadt district council . He did not hesitate to openly name some problems in the development of the regional economy. In 1979 he contributed to the publication of the volume Karl-Marx-Stadt of the renowned publication series Values ​​of our Homeland of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR with contributions to industrial history . He has published on topics of CMEA , including on the inclusion of the GDR in the CMEA. He was in correspondence with Jürgen Kuczynski and other economists of his time.
