Hans Bürger (born July 18, 1962 in Linz ) is an Austrian journalist and television presenter .

Life

Bürger attended a federal high school in Traun and then studied economics at the Kepler University in Linz .

He started in 1985 at the Kronen Zeitung in Upper Austria in the area of ​​regional politics and economics, and in 1987 he switched to ORF , for which he still works today. Until 1993 he worked there in the regional studio of Upper Austria, then in the editorial team of Zeit im Bild .

From 1998 to 2001, Bürger was deputy broadcasting manager for Zeit im Bild , and since 2002 he has headed the “Inland / EU” department. There he also appears as a commentator. Bürger also moderates the program Pressestunde and acted as a moderator for Frankly said from May 2005 to April 2007 .

He is deputy TV editor-in-chief of the information programs of the ORF and head of the domestic affairs department of the news program Zeit im Bild . In 2015 he moderated the summer talks with the chairmen of the six parties represented in parliament. From August 2018, Bürger was seen again in this role alongside Nadja Bernhard .
