Hans Brunner (born April 5, 1904 in Chur , † October 17, 1983 in Bern , reformed , legal domicile in Küblis ) was a Swiss officer , most recently in the rank of Colonel Brigadier .

Life

Hans Brunner was born on April 5, 1904, the son of the instructor Hans Brunner Senior and Magdalena Brunner née Roffler. After graduating from the technical secondary school in St. Gallen , he studied at the St. Gallen Commercial College . He completed his studies with the academic degree of a business graduate . He then completed a language degree at the University of Dijon . Brunner then worked as an employee in the Viscose Widnau-Heerbrugg company .

He was married to Hedwig Mathilda, the daughter of Emil Josua Steinlin. Hans Brunner died on October 17, 1983 at the age of 79 in Bern.

Military career

Hans Brunner began his military service in 1929 as an infantry instruction officer . As a commanding officer , he was in charge of the shooting school in Walenstadt from 1949 to 1957 and the central school from 1958 to 1963 . As a troop leader , Hans Brunner commanded the 36th Mountain Infantry Regiment from 1947 to 1950, the Fortress Brigade 23 from 1951 to 1953, and the Fortress Brigade 13 from 1954 to 1957 as a Colonel Brigadier . In 1957 he was appointed Commander of the Central Schools. In 1963 he was given support by James Thiébaud , who directed the central schools 2a and 3a.
