Hans Dennhardt

Hans Dennhardt (* 15. September 1941 in Speyer ) is a German architect , urban planner and emeritus professors .

Life

Dennhardt grew up in a village in the Vorderpfalz as the eldest of three siblings in a family of craftsmen and was supposed to take over the parental joinery. But he decided to pursue an academic career.

From 1966 he studied architecture in Mainz and later urban planning in Stuttgart . In 1971 he obtained the academic degree of graduate engineer from the University of Stuttgart . Then his doctorate he and a fellow of the Institute of Urban Planning at the Institute in 1974 , Dr.-Ing. Then he was a partner in the ARUPLAN planning office in Kaiserslautern .

In 1981 he was appointed full professor for spatial and environmental planning with the research area rural urban development and urban expansion planning at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern , where he taught until his retirement in 2006.

Until 2011, Hans Dennhardt ran a private planning, consulting and research office with two partners.

Honors

The State University of Tbilisi awarded Dennhardt an honorary doctorate .
