Hans Ecker (pedagogue)

Hans Ecker (* 1929 in Haag am Hausruck ; † April 18, 2013 in Ried im Innkreis ) was an Austrian pedagogue , university professor and author .

Live and act

Ecker was a district school inspector in Ried im Innkreis from 1972 to 1991 and previously taught at the elementary school in Rottenbach and at the secondary school in Gaspoltshofen . He was also active in teacher training, taught at the Pedagogical Academy of the Diocese of Linz and held a chair for school pedagogy , reading research and children's and youth literature at the University of Passau . His essays have appeared in specialist journals and he has been a lecturer on the subject of promoting reading at specialist events. As the author of seven books, he was also a member of the Stelzhamer Bund and the Innviertel Artists' Guild . He published the results of his activities as a local researcher in the series of the Museum Innviertler Volkskundehaus Der Bundschuh . Politically, he acted as district chairman in the Christian teachers' association.
