Hans Eissler

Hans Eißler (born October 5, 1931 in Oberndorf am Neckar , † September 19, 2005 ) was a German lawyer , most recently director of the Bad Urach district court . From 1972 to 1978 he was President of the Synod of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg .

Life and work

Eissler studied after school law . In 1960 he became a judge in Wangen im Allgäu and in 1961 he went to the public prosecutor's office in Ravensburg , then to the district court of Horb am Neckar and finally in 1967 to the district court of Urach, later Bad Urach , where he became director. He held this office until he retired in 1993. He spent his retirement in Dettingen an der Erms .

Hans Eißler is the brother of Konrad Eißler .

Church engagement

In 1966, Eißler was elected to the 7th regional synod of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg. The synod elected him secretary there. He was also a member of the 8th Regional Synod and was elected President in 1972. At the end of the legislative period he decided not to run again. His successor was Helmuth Flammer in 1978 . For many years, Eißler worked as the association's chairman for the Albrecht-Bengel-Haus in Tübingen, a study house with a pietistic spirit . In addition to pietism, his religious interest was particularly in the history and present of Israel .
