Hans Fürst (politician)

Hans Fürst (born May 23, 1902 in Wädenswil ; † May 2, 1968 there , entitled to live in Zurich ) was a Swiss lawyer and politician ( FDP ).

biography

Hans Fürst was the son of Eduard Fürst. Hans Fürst studied law at the Universities of Tübingen and Zurich .

In 1932 he became a district attorney, and in 1947 President of the Horgen District Court . From 1943 he was the permanent representative of the Federal Prosecutor for German-speaking Switzerland in the conduct of traitor trials. In 1957 he investigated the espionage affair around federal prosecutor René Dubois and federal police inspector Max Ulrich . After Dubois' suicide, he was himself a federal prosecutor from 1958 to 1967 . Until 1966 he also headed the General Assembly of Interpol .

From 1935 to 1943 and from 1951 to 1958 the free-spirited politician was a member of the Zurich Cantonal Council .

In 1930 he married Olga Silvia Sender, daughter of Heinrich Friedrich Sender von Schaffhausen . He was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the "Fürst & Cie." in Wädenswil as well as a lieutenant colonel in the Swiss Army .
