For two years he then acted as the commander of the fishing protection boat Ziethen , and then until 23 September 1929 he was employed as a staff officer with the staff of the torpedo and intelligence school . In the meantime Feldbausch had become a corvette captain on April 1, 1929 . As such, Feldbausch took over the management of the Königsberg Navy Service on September 24, 1935, and was promoted to captain on April 1, 1936 . Feldbausch then received on May 15, 1937 the appointment of commander of the Schleswig-Holstein liner , which he led until June 7, 1938. He was then sent to the Bremen Navy Service Center for information and was appointed chief there from August 22, 1938.

Feldbausch remained at his post after the start of the Second World War and, after the occupation of Norway , was chief of the Oslo Navy from May 27, 1940 . In this capacity he was promoted to Rear Admiral on June 1, 1940. On August 23, he was recalled and a few days later, on August 31, 1942, he was discharged from the Navy. Just one day later, Feldbausch was made available to the Navy and made head of the main nautical and hydrographic department of the German Naval Observatory . A few days before the end of the war, he was released from active service on April 30, 1945 and finally retired.
