Hans Frey (politician)

Hans Frey (born December 24, 1949 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ). He is also known as a science fiction specialist.

Life

After attending elementary school and high school with the Abitur , he studied at the Ruhr University in Bochum . He passed the first and second state exams for teaching at grammar schools and worked in school until 1980. Frey has been a member of the SPD since 1968, and of the Education and Science Union since 1978. He was a leader in numerous party committees. B. from 1992 to 2000 as sub-district chairman of the SPD in Gelsenkirchen. He has also been an expert and non-fiction author on the subject of science fiction made a name and technical papers in scene magazines and published several books, including a biography of James Tiptree Jr . Frey is married and has three children.

From May 29, 1980 to June 2, 2005 Frey was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in constituency 087 Gelsenkirchen I and 089 Gelsenkirchen III.

He was a member of the city council of Gelsenkirchen from 1975 to 1980.
